The third monitor is up and running and I've finally straightened out all the orientations, positioning and color coordination is done.  Getting the mouse moving between the 3 screens correctly was a bit of a challenge but it's sorted now.

Using the third monitor is different.  I have FF based on one screen, Chrome on the middle, primary screen.  Using a second iteration of Chrome on the third screen seems to produce a degraded image, sometimes.  I have tried a second iteration of FF on screen 3 and it seems OK.
I'm going to give it a day or 2 before I decide on a third screen browser or maybe a different approach.
Thoughts or suggestions welcome.

One of the changes that helps a lot is a Big Red Cursor and Big Red Hand.  There are other cursors and instructions here:

Color and size help keep track of mouse across the three screens.

I may give that a spin, as I sometimes struggle finding my cursor. Let me know how it works out for you after a few days of using it.

EDIT: You motivated me to check my Windows mouse settings, and I found a setting for a "large" and "extra large" cursor. Extra large seemed too much, so I'm trying out large for now.

So far the big red arrow seems helpful, the "hand" link indicator is Eh.

I finally ended up with the extra large cursor included in Windows, and it's working well enough for my needs. Guess I'll leave it there awhile.

3 month update:  On the third monitor I am now using Waterfox which seems to be fine, Chrome and FF on the other two monitors.  Everyone gets along well....

Very nice. Maybe 3 monitors is somewhere in my far horizon. :) Probably the only way I could make it work it with 3 smaller-sized 1080p monitors.

I remember that our S.O. dispatchers had their 3 monitors arranged in a triangle pattern, with the largest of the 3 monitors set on top. Some had 4 monitors, with the 4th set to the side of the triangle.

I can't imagine having that many screens.
