Hurricane Michael is going to make landfall this afternoon near Pensacola. FL Forecast at the moment looks like the eye will move west of me but we could do without another 8-10" of rain.
I don't remember where Carol is in Fl but this could be a problem for her.

Sounds like the storm has potential for severe devastation. As for Carol, I'm pretty sure she's sufficiently south to be spared from the storm's current trajectory.

Yes, I was sufficiently out of the way. Although we did have a lot wind today and fast quick showers and a tornado warning very close to my house. But other than that all is well. Can't imagine such a monster storm and how awful this will be for so many. Bill I do hope all is well with you. I am certainly ready for hurricane season to be over!

It Looks like the Charleston area dodged another bullet. Storm this morning is centered two hours north and west of us, heading north and east. Local forecast today is warm, 20% chance of rain, 10% tomorrow.

I'm glad neither of you two had to bite the bullet this time around.
