  • In an emergency, 9-1-1 calls ME.

Well, at least not until you read this PCWorld article: 9 reasons not to upgrade to Windows 10 -- yet

Regardless, according to PCWorld, Windows Insiders (Windows 10 preview testers) will get first crack at the final version this Wednesday. The rest of the populace will get the update in the days following. So Scuzzy is currently at the head of the line.

Scuzzy; I'll byte.

Thanks, I've seen most of that.  But what the article doesn't say is that MS has standalone packages to replace Media Center, and something called Solitaire Suite, which replaces the beloved Solitaire game absent from W10.

But using W10, Hickok45 is history.

No media center, no you tube, eh?  Or am I wrong and Youtube uses the browser only with HDML5?  I've been known to be wrong before.  Isn't also required for music CDs and DVDs?

Media Center is not needed to access YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, or any other website for that matter. That's handled by whatever browser you choose to use. I also have no problems accessing any other media, such as music and the like. Media Center was a specific entertainment hub that MS allowed to go by the wayside for some reason.
