Title: Casper Backup X Macrium
Post by: Bill on August 30, 2017, 15:50 hrs
Somewhere on Poasters I mentioned Casper Back ups.  I am now told that Casper Backups and Clones frequently have trouble booting from their files.  I have dumped it in favor of Macrium Reflect - www.macrium.com/reflectfree - that is now the free program of choice.
Sorry about that........

This morning after finishing my system, I put a spinner in temporarily for backup.  I ran Macrium Reflect for the first time. It was easy and very intuitive.  I cloned the entire C: drive on to the HD and tested it.  The system booted on the first try (a little slower) and was identical to the primary installation, couldn't have been better.  After the test and reverting to the M2, I put the spinner in the closet where it will stay until I have to redo the clone, or I need it.
