While I was sleeping, Firefox released version 5 of its Internet browser. It seems like it was yesterday when I upgraded to version 4.

The installation was no different than doing any Firefox update. If you have not received the update, click the Firefox 4 orange drop-down tab>>>"right arrow" on Help>>>About Firefox>>>Check for Updates.

Firefox 5 looks and feels just like version 4, and is mostly a bug-fix release. However, new versions will come every 6 to 8 weeks. This means we may be at version 8 by the end of the year.

I checked my Firefox version this morning and noticed a new update was ready for download.

I'm now running Firefox 6, which so far looks and feels the same as v5. No doubt there's some changes under the hood, but I'll have to investigate later.

EDIT: PC Mag reports 1,300 changes and fixes
