I named a saved file "Barber-Erics" and SearchEverything could not find it. I renamed the file "Erics Barber Shop" and still SearchEverything could not find it. I now wonder how many files SearchEverything can no longer find.

Can any one explain this please ?

  • In an emergency, 9-1-1 calls ME.

I am not familiar with SearchEverything, so I may not be much assistance. I am guessing that this is a file on your computer, correct? Can the program find other files in the same folder/directory? If not, it could be a search limitation. In other words, the program may not be searching that particular folder. Try copying the file to your Desktop or to another folder to see if it finds it there.

Another possibility is the file type. For example, is it a shortcut to an internet site? The program may exclude certain file types by default. If so, check the settings.

The search program I'm using is apparently now called just "Everything 1.4.1.935"

The file I was looking for was a simple notepad page

I reinstalled said program and it seems to be working correctly now

And I'm so glad because it has always worked wonderfully for me for years

Thanks for reply
