Title: How to Create a Desktop Shortcut in GoogleChrome - TIP
Post by: hoosier on July 25, 2016, 16:20 hrs
This must be old stuff to long-time users of GoogleChrome, but I'm a new convert.

I chased the web and found this way to "Create a Desktop Shortcut in GoogleChrome " :

Use RestoreDown to shrink target page
Highlight the page's URL
Drag the highlighted URL to the desktop

Seems messy compared to IE11 but it works

Hoosier,

I don't use Chrome, but the method you described is fairly similar to how I do it in Firefox. I simply highlight the URL within the address bar, and then drag-and-drop it to the desktop. I find it simple enough that I never give it a second thought.

I want to correct my directions on this subject to read as follows :

Use Restore Down to shrink target page

Highlight the page's URL

Drag the small icon (page information), at the left side of the URL, onto the desktop
