The windows secrets newsletter this week revealed that win7 comes preset to defrag your hard drive once a week, completely automatically. An unknown fact for me. Those of us with SSDs should disable or delete this option.
Start>All programs>Accessories>Systems Tools> Task scheduler> Task Scheduler Library>Microsoft>Windows>Defrag>Scheduled Defrag -right click -here I deleted but there is the option to disable.
