"Weathermate" program not working

I've used "Weathermate" successfully for many years. Now, even though I have reinstalled the program several times, the Weathermate graphic appears on my screen but it says "Forecast unavailable". I see nothing on the Weathermate web site that can help me. Can someone here tell me what might be wrong?

I don't have a clue, but I have the same problem with The Weather Channel program. I can't seem to resolve that one either. I ended up uninstalling.

I have a weather app on my android phone and I finding it lacking in detail. Hence my use of the weather channel on the PC. However, I have installed and uninstalled 4-5 times and each time they try an update it turns sour.

I don't know whose, never looked. It's a gadget that came with the phone. But the shortcut is a good idea, thanks.

Yes Ja that is the program. It has been my favorite because you can pick any major and many minor cities in the world and have their weather forecast be displayed. I would hate to have to abandon Weathermate.

BTW, no one really knows for sure where "hoosier" comes from

JA, I just downloaded Weathermate and my version lists the actual temp on the top line in parenthesis and the Feels like temp on the second line.
However, none of the Forecast options seem to be available -today's , day by day or weekly summary. What I am getting is current conditions only.
Is that consistent with yours?

I normally do not install or use weather widgets, but I have to admit this one is nice and unassuming. Thanks for the updates, JA.

Just read this thread and thought I'd give it a whirl.

Glad to say that I installed Weathermate and it picked up my location (almost) here in the UK automatically and appears to be working fine. I have tweaked my location to be a bit more accurate and played a bit with the interface. This could be something I might keep. Depends if it gives the same forecast as the UK Met. office as that is very seldom accurate....

It is a nice, small program. I find myself using it often. I also use in my patrol car as it's so unobtrusive.

4.0 was working great. 4.1 is not working at all. Weathermate is now completely broken on my computer. Nothing I dd made any difference in getting it to work.

Scuzzy; just deleted the whole thing.

I was using the portable version. Cleaning and rebooting made no difference. The bottom line is, it no longer works on my system.

I just upgraded from 4.0 to 4.1 adn it seems to work just fine for me. Windows 8.1 x64.

I cleared out the old folder and basically gave up. Today, I downloaded a fresh zip file and started over. Now it's working again. Apparently something broke when I used the automated update process. Maybe it didn't like my dual screen setup.

Either way, it's working fine now.

I have a dual-screen setup too. Guess we'll never know why the auto-update failed for you.
