Windows 10 is not the only O/S with update problems.  I did an update earlier and it changed the desktop color from a dark blue to solid black.  I successfully uninstalled and colors returned to normal.

It's odd that an update would do that. I use my own photo set for the background, so I have not noticed any change. Not to mention that before using photos for wallpaper, I always kept my background a solid black.

While my laptop has been behaving over the last week, updates to Windows 7 have given me plenty of heartache over the years.
