Is there no way to make it search just selected hard drives, not all the hard drives one is connected to ?

My two external back-up hard drives have no on-off switches. When I make a search, all of their content is searched along with my main computer drive (so I sometimes get a very long list to be scrolled thru).

The search program I used to use (name of which I don't remember) allowed me to select whatever drive or drives I wanted to search.

The "Everything" program Bill suggested does not seem to have that feature either.

Couldn't you just unplug the external drives?

Bill: unplugging doesn't seem like an "elegant" approach

Yes that works and it is a most "elegant" solution. Thanks so very much Ja.

I had no idea that my hard drives could be "folders"
