Foxit
« on: Oct 01, 2012, 08:22 hrs »
I have finally stumbled across a pdf file that Foxit cannot read.  Invoice from local utility just started arriving by email and Foxit opened to a blank page but Adobe, which I was reluctant to d/l, opened the file correctly.
Before I went to Adobe, I looked for Foxit updates thinking maybe there is a new version, no such luck.

Guess I' m back to keeping both, for now.

Edit: Turns out I was using  a very old version, after a d/l of the latest my difficulty with the email invoice disappeared, as will Adobe now.

I'm glad you got it worked out.

I used Foxit some years ago, but I had to dump it in favor of Adobe Lite. I had no choice, as it was the only way I could do certain related work related reports. But a couple years ago, they made some changes in our reporting software that allowed me to dump Adobe once and for all. However, I found Sumatra PDF reader and I decided to give it a whirl. I'm so glad I did.

You might want to check out Sumatra. It is simple, lite and fast. Plus, no ads of any sort.
