HDMI
« on: Nov 20, 2014, 07:25 AM »
When I set up my home A/V system about 18 months ago, I needed two new HDMI cables and ordered Amazon brand generics which seemed OK.
Sometime between last week and last night one of them failed.  I was initially thinking  the DVD player was the culprit.  The first Sony unit failed after three weeks and Amazon replaced it.  This time around after checking the cable connections, I replaced the longer of the two cables and that fixed the problem.  But I am wondering if "a cable is a cable" is really the best approach now.
Scuzzy, what was the name of the company with the uber thin and flexible HDMI cables you found.  I took a quick look but couldn't find the poast.
Thanks.

Thanks, John.  I am going to order a couple of backups, just in case.

I've been pleased with Monoprice and their products. They currently have a 25% off sale with free S/H. The sale ends today.
