HR214 Qualification
« on: May 12, 2020, 11:48 AM »
As a retired cop, I qualify to carry concealed under federal House Resolution 214 (HR214). This resolution recognizes trained, retired law enforcement officers, and  allows me to legally carry concealed throughout the United States. The license requires an annual renewal, consisting of fees, background checks, and a modified tactical qualification.

This year my license expires June 5th, but due to COVID-19 my qualification was pushed back 4 weeks to June 4th.

I have zero concerns over my abilities to qualify, but talk about cutting it tight.  :P

That's a bit close.  Does qualification ever get cancelled for weather or other natural disasters?

It's not often, but it certainly can happen since it's a very old outdoor range. It's just a dirt lot with static targets, and a couple of conex containers to serve as office and storage space. Pueblo S.O. apparently doesn't have the funding for something modern. In that aspect, we were quite fortunate where I was trained.
