Yahoo Mail "Contact List" Won't Stay in Selected Alphabetical Order

For many years, when using my Yahoo Mail "Contact List", my "Action" box stays checked on "Sort by Last Name" and my list appears in alphabetical order based on last names.

Starting recently, every time I use my "Contact List", the list comes up in random order, even though my setting still shows a checked box for "Sort by Last Name"

Any suggestions as to why ?

Yes, recently Yahoo mail has been experiencing broad problems effecting many users. The best recommendation I have seen is "switch to Gmail" a trouble free (usually) provider.

With no input from me, today my "Contact List" is staying alphabetized again. Weird.

That is strange, but maybe Yahoo succeeded in fixing whatever was causing the problem in the first place.

Sorting by last name worked for me for years. A couple of months when it didn't work won't cause me to make an enormous amount of address changes.

But seriously, I always appreciate your interest.
