  • In an emergency, 9-1-1 calls ME.

I have often wondered if I'll build another system. The last 2 I built are working quite well, and there is no reason to replace or upgrade them anytime in the foreseeable future. Nonetheless, stuff like this gets my attention:

tom's HARDWARE: PCI-SIG Announces PCIe 6.0, up to 256 GBps in 2021

That could be impressive, however.  I think system speed gets beyond our ability to appreciate it.
Almost everything I do now is almost instantaneous and, at least IMO, system speed beyond what I have is, except for it's novelty, is really of no benefit.

In something like this, I mostly consider the speed burst in large file transfers. I still manage large amounts of data, so I could see the benefit.

That's not something I took into consideration. Also not something I have to do.  But I can see the  benefit........
