This has been used for a "few years". I had the one for $25 a few years ago and it died after a year. I wonder if it is worth the risk since I can get a new one still for $25. Anyone have an opinion? Thanks

I suppose if you don't mind spending $15 on an old unit, then it should be fine. Of course, it may last several more years or just a couple of days. It is a risk.

Although Wireless-G is still in use, the writing is clearly on the wall for its demise. Last year I picked up a refurbished Linksys Wireless WRT160N router from TigerDirect.com for $29.99. It arrived packaged like new and it has worked very well for my son. You might want to consider something similar. If you need a Wireless-G signal, most all N routers are backward compatible.

Thanks for your input. I'm going to sleep on it.
