Since this speed test is now carrying the MS name,my reported speeds have increased by 30 =/-.  I wonder why???

  • In an emergency, 9-1-1 calls ME.

Mine is showing just over 1/2 of what I am paying for.

I'm patiently waiting for T-Mobile's eventual rural 5G broadband service, which is promising schmucks like me an average 300Mbps download.

Your  speeds sound like an ISP problem.  My point was only that since MS has been involved with Ookla the reported speeds are likely being "cranked" by MS.  I know I'm not getting the 85 down and 100  mbps up that was reported in 2 tests yesterday.

Okay, I see what you're saying. Last night I ran a single check, not paying attention what else may have been using the WiFi. I checked again this morning and got the following. My plan is 25/5, and I ran 4 tests on the sites I normally use:

http://www.speedtest.net (Ookla) - 25.16 / 4.41
https://www.bandwidthplace.com - 26.64 / 5.73
https://speedof.me - 27.97 / 4.63
https://testmy.net (my favorite as it also tracks history) - 23.7 / 4.2

I have no idea what might be going on at Ookla, but the results it's showing are normal for me.
